1962 series 1 Jaguar E-type in Maroon Metallic (correctly Opalescent Maroon). This car was registered in June of 1962, and (being a pre-October '64 car) is fitted with a 3.8L engine. One of 7670 3.8L hard top coupés produced between 1961 and 1964.
The Consul Capri was a two door coupé version of the Ford Consul Classic. It was available from late 1961 (export only) and from early 1962 for the UK market. Production was short, ending in mid-1964, with somrthing over 19,000 built in this time. Bodies were made by Pressed Steel, and assembled at the Ford plant in Dagenham (later Halewood), initially with a 1340cc engine (though this car has been upgraded to 1500cc). This is a fairly early example, registered in May 1962 - but it's a great looking car in lovely condition!
Very cool race-ready Jaguar open top two-seater taking a rest at Silverstone race circuit - #167. This car has the earlier 3.8L (3781cc) engine and was registered in the United Kingdom in January 1962.
Very tasty series 1 E-type Jaguar in Dark Blue. One of 7670 two-seater Fixed Head Coupés produced with the original 3.8L engine. Registered in May 1962.
Very nice early (series 1) E-type Jaguar. At this time only two seater E-types were in production (a 2+2 version was added in 1966): an Open Two Seater (OTS) and (as seen here) a Fixed Head Coupé (FHC). Check out some OTS E-types, also in Jaguar's Silver Blue here and here. This example has the earlier 3781cc engine, and was registered in June 1962.
Very tasty race-ready 1962 Triumph TR4 - seen here fitted with curved backlight rear window and removeable hard top kit. The TR4 replaced the TR3, and like its predecessor was designed by Giovanni Michelotti. This one has a bunch of racing modifications - compare this car to an unaltered TR4 here. 2098cc straight-four engine.
1962 Vauxhall VX 4/90 FB. 1508cc. Registered August 1962
